Chenango Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition consists of many representatives from all areas of the community. This coalition is working to provide change for improvement among their community to ensure good health and safety. In order to do so, they work to implement training, policy changes, and further action to make a change. They hold a Drug Free Community Grant that guides them in the process of keeping youth safe and healthy through their coalition work. This grant focuses on prevention and awareness among the youth in their local high school.
Built off of Chenango Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition is a teen-led coalition called The Pulse. The Pulse is known as Preventing use, loss, and stigma early. Work done by this teen coalition is based upon the needs of peers and the community. Our goal is to direct our focus on the ability to implement activities and trainings to help support substance free teens. As we continue to grow so does our communities substance use awareness.
